The school task at that time was to work a sampler on a prefabricated piece of fabric. The individual creativity of every girl was required to create something from alphabets, borders, rows of numbers and corner motifs. Very nicely done!
It was very important to W. W. to name her place of residence at the end of her work, more important than mentioning her first and last name. Westermoordorf - a village in the western moor - was first mentioned in a document in 1797 and is located in Lower Saxony near the North Sea.
